	Research & Development Boyd’s R&D segment will provide you with unique coatings for specialized projects. We can develop coatings that combine the benefits of two or more different technologies that work together to overcome limitations of the individual products. Our technical team operates state-of-the-art equipment to develop new and exciting coatings based on advanced technology.


	An example of one such development is CRC 6000, Weather-tite, a sophisticated coating that combines urethane and fluoropolymer technologies to protect radomes and antennae from the harmful effects of rain, ice, dirt and ultraviolet radiation. Weather-tite 6000 has been successfully applied to both military and commercial antennae and radomes, which can be found on all four continents (worldwide).
